Hire charges raised by £1 to cover increased costs

The general committee of the Community Association has agreed that the cost of using the Community centre facilities will increase by £1 per hour from 1st April 2010. The increase is necessary to cover higher costs of insurance, energy costs and repairs and maintenance. Download the new Schedule of Charges

Secretary Brian Williams commented "sadly we have had to respond to the damage caused by vandals and take extra security measures, which cost a lot of money, such as CCTV.

However, despite the increase we think we are very competitvely priced compared with other local facilities, and hiring Moorhayes is still great value for money. A 3 hour afternoon birthday party will cost just £30. A new option is available for weddings, with an all inclusive charge of just £300, which we think is terrific value, and of course we will also have the floodlights available at just £4 per hour above the cost of hiring the games area."
